A Great Year For Grass

Today we would like to look back on 2013 and share with our artificial grass blog readers a few of what we feel have been the highlights. 

The Factory
As premier manufacturers of artificial grass we are delighted to report that it has been yet another tremendous year for our factory here in Maryport, Cumbria. Production has expanded to over half a million square metres in the last 12 months (see our Grass Made In Britain post for more on that). We have provided artificial grass carpet for both the domestic consumer market and the sports pitch sector and look forward to even further growth in 2014.

Helping A Cumbrian Family In Need
A family in Cumbria with a little boy suffering from hydrocephalus
and spina bifida needed help with improving their home and garden to cater better for his needs. The BBC TV DIY SOS program came to their aid and we were delighted to be able to help. Click here to read the full story.

Customer DIY Installation Stories
This year more than ever before we have been inundated with photographs from happy customers wanting to share their joy at the difference artificial grass has made to their gardens. In June we received a particularly interesting set of photos from a customer in Cheshire who photographed their entire installation step by step! All credit to them for taking the time and trouble. Dogs, Decking & Patios
These 3 subjects have cropped up perhaps more than any others in the stories sent in to us by customers.

Dogs and artificial grass – many of the people who buy our artificial grass have dogs and it is great to hear their feedback telling us how much their pets love the grass, how they are mud-free after playing on it and how they can’t dig it up and try and tunnel their way to Australia!

Decking – artificial grass can compliment decking in 2 ways.

It can be used as a covering for it if people want a softer ‘carpet’ under their feet or it can be installed at the side of the decking providing a nice transition from the wooden surface onto the lawn.

Patios – soaking up the sunshine with a drink and/or dinner outside on the patio can be made all the more enjoyable with an artificial grass covering. A customer who installed some of our artificial grass in Fife told us of their delight after they had done just that and sent in the photos to prove it.
