New Grass Comes to New Marske!

Old Grass… who wants old grass? That stuff you get that comes with the house, that hasn’t been touched for many years. That is haggard and lifeless. Sure, you can try giving your garden a large amount of time and effort to try and salvage the patchy/muddy or dry and discoloured lawn, but it seems that no matter how much grass seed or love you give the garden, weeds will continue to penetrate through year on year and make your efforts seem undervalued. But what can you do about it? What if we told you that a garden should be admired, pruned (brushed) every once in a while, but certainly not to the extent of natural grass… far from it!

Welcome the new and advanced technology that brings you artificial grass. And we brought this fantastic product to our installation at New Marske, North Yorkshire.

Another one of our customers was thrilled with their recent install of Finesse artificial grass. This is a top selling product that stands at a 28mm pile height making it a multiple use landscape grass. The high density and natural looking appearance can be very difficult to tell the difference!

The Base Works

If you thought that laying the new artificial grass carpet is “all there is to it” then you may be surprised! Our team of installers are there to ensure that you maximise the lifespan of your lawn and that all starts from the base works up.

A weed membrane is one of the most important layers because this stops weeds growing through the lawn. You see, the artificial grass carpet has a fully perforated backing which allows water to drain through, so if the weed membrane layer isn’t laid correctly, this may cause problems in the future.

A crushed limestone base is also used and compacted together to ensure a smooth and even surface that will stay in place.

Then goes on the artificial grass carpet, which can be a very tricky process to do, but not a problem at all for our highly-trained installers!
