The Benefits of Artificial Grass For the Hospitality Industry

Artificial grass is used for a variety of domestic applications, usually the grass is used for lawns, play areas and sports surfaces, however, one industry that is beginning to see the advantages of the use of artificial grass is the hospitality industry.

Hotels, restaurants and bars should be tidy, fresh and welcoming to entice customers in, invariably these places will have outside spaces which will the customers first point of contact with the venue. If these areas are untidy, unclean or unkept this will turn the customer off the venue.

synthetic grass is an ideal solution for keeping outdoor areas tidy, clean, welcoming and green as well as reducing maintenance costs in the long run. You may have a few different areas which are currently lawned that are difficult and costly to maintain. By replacing the lawn with artificial turf you achieve the same effect but there are no ongoing maintenance costs to keep it looking spectacular.

This solution is also effective for bars and restaurants with outdoor seating. As smoking is only allowed outside most bars and restaurants do provide an outdoor smoking area as well as outdoor seating for non smokers. Why not bring these areas to life, some artificial grass on the floor, a few trees and maybe some fairy lights could transform your outside space. Non sand in-fill artificial grass can even be used indoors as part of a theme, it is suitable for a wide variety of applications.

When designing the outdoor areas for your next venture why not consider artificial grass in the plans.

Don’t Mow Or Water Your Lawn Again

With the emphasis on water conservation, energy conservation and money conservation today, artificial grass, or turf, seems the perfect solution. A teenage boy in our neighborhood got so tired of mowing his lawn, he got online several years ago looking for a company that would sell artificial lawn for residences. He didn’t find much, but I think that has changed in recent years. With water shortages, baby boomers aging, money being tight and energy conscientious generation Y, it is the perfect time to purchase turf for your house.

There is a reason professional fields turned to artificial grass years ago, no mowing, no watering, no gopher holes, it doesn’t fade, it has a rich, plush feel to it, and as an added bonus, no allergies. Our son mows our lawn, he mows the neighbors lawn and he mows three other lawns. He is so allergic to the cut grass that by the time he finished his three or four lawns a week he can hardly see out of his eyes, they are so red, watery and itchy. He would support the notion of artificial grass.

Artificial grass is installed by first removing the old sod by either a sod-cutter or by spraying it with a weed killer. Then a fine layer of crushed rock is laid down, smoothed and compacted so the turf can be installed on a soft under bed. Turf drains like real lawn, pets can’t hurt it, urine drains through and messes can be scooped up. Add a border and you are maintenance free for years. Just sweep occasionally, not a bad idea and certainly better than green mud.
