All Seasons Synthetic Turf in Perth are very excited to announce the up coming release of a new style of artificial grass using Green technology. Our Australian artificial grass manufacturer APTA Asia Pacific, has design a synthetic grass that is made from 60% renewable resources and is the latest innovation from APTA Asia Pacific. All Seasons Synthetic Turfs new Classic GT is made from SUGAR CANE. All Seasons Synthetic Turf Classic GT is heat and UV resistant to the highest level, extremely durable, soft and lush under foot , Australian made with a 15 year warranty, all that innovative technology and now environmentally friendly.
Using Green Technology (GT), this synthetic grass was originally developed for the Olympic Hockey Turfs. You can now reduce your carbon footprint and have a green lawn 365 days of the year.
One of the great things about this new synthetic grass is that it is manufactured right here in Australia, this gives all our customers the peace of mind that the product is totally safe and doesn’t contain any poisons or heavy metals like some imported products. Also its comforting to know that we are keeping local Australians employed.
All Seasons Synthetic Turf Classic GT is made using HeatBlock technology (CoolPlus), which means the surface temperature will be lower than turfs with out this technology.
Sugar Cane is a natural bio-based plant which instead of emitting carbon dioxide, absorbs it. This technology makes Classic GT a sustainable and recyclable product that reduces greenhouse effect and Global Warming.
All Seasons Synthetic Turfs Classic GT has a 45mm pile height, see image below:

What can sugar cane produce
- Carbon Stocks
Fields filled with Sugarcane has carbon stocks of 60 tons of carbon per hectare. This means that higher greenhouse gas reductions from the products produced in that area. - Semi-Perennial Plant.
Sugarcane requires to be replanted only about every six years which reduces tilling (tilling is the agricultural preparation of soil by mechanical agitation of various types, such as digging, stirring, and overturning) of land that releases carbon dioxide. No-till techniques that require no mechanical agitation are also strongly encouraged, this lowers the quantities of fuel required to run agricultural machinery on the farms. - Limiting Chemical Usage
The wide use of organic fertilizers reduces the demand for fossil-based products, improving sugarcane ethanol’s greenhouse benefits. - Bioelectricity.
Sugarcane mills can burn leftover stalks and leaves in ovens to produce enough bioelectricity to power the factories and farms and the energy can be sold back to the grid. In some countries producers of bioelectricity can also obtain carbon credits. - Yields.
Each hectare of sugarcane produces more than 7,000 litres of ethanol. This boost Green House gas reduction.
How is artificial grass produced from Sugar Cane ?
Manufactured in Melbourne by APTA, Sugar Cane Green Technology, brings Synthetic Grass and sustainability together, not something most people would imagine was possible. Many years of Research and Development have been undertaken and a great deal of funds to meet the demands of the public who would love to have artificial Grass due to the increasing worry over Australia’s water shortages but at the same time were concerned on the sustainability of using a synthetic material to replace natural turf.
- Australia’s sugarcane is grown in high rainfall and irrigated areas along coastal plains and river valleys on 2,100 km of Australia’s eastern coastline between Mossman in far north Queensland and Grafton in NSW. Queensland accounts for about 95 per cent of Australia’s raw sugar production.
- Sugarcane captures CO2 from Earths atmosphere, Just like trees, as sugarcane grows it takes carbon out of the atmosphere. Sugarcane husks even generate bio-electricity that makes the sugar plastic, making the production process even more sustainable.
- Once the C02 is captured from the Sugarcane it is crushed mechanically
- The byproduct extracted from the sugarcane is fermented which produces Ethanol. Ethanol is a renewable, plant-based fuel.
- Heat and pressure is applied, the water is then extracted from the ethanol creating ethylene gas.
- The ethylene gas is turned in to small polyethylene beads.
- The new Heatblock technology is added to the polyethylene beads, this addition produces a green cooling effect.
- From the heated beads the yarn is extruded, this is done in the APTA factory in Melbourne.
- Classic GT artificial grass is the WORLDS and Australia’s first environmentally friendly sustainable synthetic grass.
What are the uses for the Classic GT synthetic grass
- Pet friendly and super soft under foot, so perfect to install if you have Pets and children
- Landscape areas and commercial
- Front yards
- Rear yards
- Courtyards
- Balcony’s
- Rooftops
- Schools/Daycare centres
- Government Facilities
- For anyone who is environmentally conscious and have been looking for a sustainable Australian made synthetic turf.
What is HEATBLOCK ™ TECHNOLOGY
When the ethanol produced polyethylene beads are produced the Heatblock Technology is added before the yarn is extruded to produce artificial grass. APTA’s exclusive Heatblock technology is scientifically proven to lower synthetic turfs surface temperature by reflecting sunlight, this reduces heat build up and heat emission.
Heat build up is prevalent in most materials when heat is absorbed from our harsh sunlight. Like dark clothing absorbs more heat, synthetic grass can heat up in Australia’s hot summers. Adding heatblock technology incorporates infrared reflective pigments that will dissipate heat build-up making the synthetic grass surface up to 20% cooler than our competitors turfs, this has been scientifically proven with extensive testing.
