Fake Grass For Use in Bowling Greens, Tennis Courts & Cricket Pitches

Fake grass has many wonderful applications, not the least are which for commercial sporting enterprises such as bowling greens, tennis courts, putting greens and indoor cricket. Just think of the dollars that could be saved in laying a surface of artificial grass instead of natural grass, especially in a city like Brisbane where great weather means many people love their sports. Fake turf gives a surface very similar to natural grass, but it does not wear out like natural grass does. It does not need to be watered, fertilized, mown or rolled, either.

Fake grass also gives a great playing surface for indoor applications where natural grass would be good, but can not not grow due to lack of sunlight. Take indoor cricket for example. Here the playing surface gets a hard workout as players dash to beat the ball. A timber floor does not give the same foot grip as a grass or cement area would. This can cause spectacular slides and falls that may mean injury to the player.

But if synthetic grass is laid, the surface becomes much more playable. Fake grass is durable and gives a good playing surface. It does not wear like other surfaces can, so it is cost-effective. Sunlight or lack of it is not a factor; fake grass can be used inside or out. It does not matter if there is a raging drought, or if rain threatens daily, fake grass can still be used. So a commercial enterprise will not be losing money for non-attendance due to the weather. In fact, they could well be making more money due to all the extra customers who come because other sporting venues are closed due to problems with natural grass.

Tennis players in particular lose playing time due to the tennis courts being too wet. But if these courts were laid with fake grass, then there would be no problem. Play could go ahead without fear of damaging the courts.

Contrary to popular belief, real turf can be detrimental to sporting environments. Rather, I suggest that you consider using synthetic turf to improve the quality of your commercial sports business.
