A new study has revealed that 59% of homeowners prioritize outdoor living as the greatest influence within their general open-air project design. The 2016 UK Houzz landscaping trends study includes insights from almost 1,000 homeowners in the UK who are in the middle of, planning, or who have finished a project recently.
1.Outdoor living trend continues in UK gardensA yearly study revealed that many update the structural elements, their open-air equipment and systems, and borders and beds. Because of the importance of such projects, more than 1/3 outdoor upgraders enlist the assistance of the landscape gardener or contractor and/or landscape designer or architect for their projects.
Garden makeovers have a substantial effect on British open-air living, with 81% reporting that they are spending more time outdoors as an outcome of upgrades. • Spring – the months of March & April are the popular periods for homeowners in UK to embark on the outdoor project. Planning gets started four months or more ahead for most of outdoor renovators which is 67 per cent.
• Child-friendly – around 4 out of 5 outdoor renovators make child-related updates. Practicalities like the space to play and run, edible plants and fencing all over the garden are prioritized.
• Plants – the homeowners in the UK prioritize flowering plants throughout their upgrades, with flowering, less maintenance, and those plants which attract wildlife.
• Lawn – the homeowners do come with a recent lawn make huge and significant changes to their respective green spaces, with 22% reduce the size of their lawn and 12% removing it together in favor of the garden beds, hard landscaping as well as the outdoor structures.
